My wife took our oldest to see Moana 2 this past weekend. It was his first time at a movie theater. They showed a trailer for the upcoming Snow White film, and when the trailer finished, my son said, “Glad that’s over with.” Way to fail, Disney.

One of Spotify's auto-generated playlists for me was all Christian metal, except for some 2000's Megadeth. I wonder if they're classifying modern Deth as Christian?

What albums? I consider TSHF and UA to be Christian because each album as a whole is Christian friendly, with one Christian song. After that it's just Christian friendly.

It was mainly Endgame and some from Super Collider

TSHF and UA have more than one Christian song each

What are the other songs you consider Christian from those albums? I can only think of Never Walk Alone..A Call To Arms and Shadow of Deth

It’s the craziest thing. I was talking to a friend of mine who loves the LotR books. I confessed that I actually prefer the films because I don’t typically jive with Tolkien’s prose.

Then something amazing happened.

I prepared myself for the mockery.

But my friend actually said he understood that. He didn’t even insult my intelligence. He didn’t call my character into question. He didn’t heap shame and scorn on me. In short, he didn’t respond like every Tolkien fan I’ve ever talked to.

Brothers, I’m beginning to see the persuasiveness of postmillennialism now.

I don't mind the prose at all. I love the books. But I think that was a rare case where the movies were better.

Yeah, but the big question is, do you prefer the book The Simarillion or the Blind Guardian album Nightfall in Middle Earth (concept album based off of that book)?

I love both the books and the movies. I once read The Hobbit and as soon as I finished the last page, I started reading it again. The Silmarillian is definitely a hard read.

Silmarillian is a good book overall, but I'll admit I'd rather read summaries than the actual book because it's pretty confusing
