Not metal, but Phil Keaggy has covered many secular songs as well. Here are just a few:
His cover of Here Comes the Sun (Beatles) is quite famous.
- When Will I Ever Learn to Live in God (Van Morrison)
- Baby Blue (Badfinger)
He's played on tons of cover albums. Here's a few:
- Coming Up! A Tribute to Paul McCartney
- Making God Smile: A Tribute to Beach Boy Brian Wilson
- Yesterday: A Tribute to John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Re: Name secular songs covered by Christian bands.
Last night I wanted a distraction so I made a Spotify playlist of all the songs we have listed so far - plus a few others I found and minus some that are not on Spotify.
16 hours of songs so far! Wow.
Keep the lists coming and I'll continue to add to the playlist.
And feel free to make suggestions on how to organize or title the playlist.

Not sure why a Christian band would cover The Conjuring, that song is so occultic/satanic even Dave Mustaine has renounced it after he became a ChristianTemple of Blood wrote:Faith Factor - American Metal (Lizzy Borden)
