New Winger album.
Called Seven because they had no original ideas for a title.
Musically this reminds me of IV wit a few more solos and Reb sounds great as usual.
Are they the only 80s band with all original members?

Reb Beach’s solos (and some of his riffs) are literally the only reason I like Winger.
I’m not a huge fan of Kip’s lead vocals. Although I thought his backing vocals were excellent when he was with Alice Cooper.

I feel like his vocals fit the music but he's not the greatest vocalist.

Good point.
I didn’t mean to say he’s not good at all… he fits his music very well. I rank him a few notches above Joe Leste from Bang Tango.

I think the new album is very good. The songwriting is really strong and the band’s performance is largely flawless in pulling it together. I’ll enjoy this one for a while.

If it’s possible to like an album upon first listen, and it still be a grower, this is the album. The more I listen to it, the more I love it. The band is absolutely at their creative peak here. The songwriting is so, so good! Reb Beach has never sounded better.

Reb has kept busy with Whitesnake and Black Swan so he stays sharp.

This album is reminding me why Winger is one of my favorite “hair” bands.

I need to finish my review of this for my site (got WAY behind while finishing grad school), but I would say it is my third fave in their catalog behind Pull and Karma...and it may be ahead of Karma. When people say they don't like this new album, I honestly don't know what they want from the band; they can't, shouldn't, and thankfully DON'T, keep writing "Seventeen" over and over.
As to only 80s band with all original members, no. Barren Cross still has all their originals. King's X is another. The numbers are dwindling, to be sure.

Re: New Winger album.
I have listened to this a couple of times. I hear both their original sound and growth in their writing in this. I don't know what I expected, but this is every bit as good as anything else they've done. It might have been cool to bash Winger in the 90's as grunge took over, but they have shown that they can still bring the goods year after year--decade after decade.
Nicely done, guys! If the new Extreme is this good, then we are in for a treat!

Beavis and Butt-Head made it cool to bash Winger.
