Everthrone (progressive metal)
[EDIT: moved out of the Christian metal section]
Has anyone heard of Everthrone? I just stumbled upon 'em and they sound pretty good... The Metal Archives says their lyrical themes include "Christianity" which upon a very cursory glance appears to be true. They're very melodic progressive metal with some modern touches; I'm not sure who I'd compare them to. I'm curious if anyone's familiar and knows more about 'em. Cheers!

Re: Everthrone (progressive metal)
YES! I have mentioned Everthrone here before but they fell so far under the radar that I suspect no one even has a point of reference for them. Everthrone was a BRILLIANT band (they are now broken up, sadly). Their 3 albums were just so creative and different from anything else I've heard. Anyway, I could go on and on about them. I also created a "Best of" playlist on Spotify if anyone wants to sample them:
This Is Everthrone
However....they are not a Christian band. A few songs here and there have some common Christian themes sprinkled in, but then other songs will be more focused on humanism, enigmas, depression and loss, and some where they talk about "gods" or "the oracle" and other strange lyrical themes.
That one song you posted though is probably the most overtly Christian one, and I would certainly consider it Biblically-based.

Thanks for the info! Ah too bad they're not Christian... I'd be curious to read some interviews or such since they definitely appear to have some Christian themes. (I'll move this thread to the proper spot then.)
Well maybe your posts are why the name sounded so familiar to me. So they weren't completely in vain haha!

I'll take a look around and see if I can find any interviews on them or some more information. I would like to see that myself. I have watched some of their live videos from when they played locally (I think they were from North Carolina). They weren't quite as good live as on record, but it's hard to pull off those vocals live. I still count them as one of those bands that should have been a lot bigger than they were.
