Haha really? I wouldn't think of "weird" as being a common descriptor of them, but regardless, I do like Amnis a lot and wish there was more Christian music like 'em.

It's the same folks behind the Czech epic doom metal band Trinity - which I definitely recommend!

When I said, "initially", I meant like 10 seconds in. The pictures of the band members and the intro music...I thought I was in for something different! Good thing I didn't shut the book right away.

Oh gotcha. I'm glad you are enjoying them! I made a thread about 'em a while back. All their stuff is free to download from Bard's website if you're interested. (Bard has CDRs of their stuff too if you're in the collector mood - but shipping from the Czech Republic isn't cheap.)

Now that you say this, I remember listening to them a bit last year. But I've been introduced to so much music in the last year and a half at the CMR that I completely forgot. I'm going to try to listen to them a bit more in the next month and get them in my long-term memory!
