Re: Book collections
I try not to buy too many books without reading the ones that I have first and I must say that I'm doing a pretty good job at that And even then I still have a nice collection (meaning of course that I read mosts of them). I'll simply list the English book titles for this list. Some highlights:
Confessions (Augustine of Hippo)
What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality? (Kevin DeYoung)
Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoevsky)
The Bible and Homosexual Practice (Robert A.J. Gagnon)
Patience With God (Tomáš Halík)
Brave New World (Aldous Huxley)
The Trial (Franz Kafka)
The Meaning of Marriage (Tim Keller)
The Screwtape Letters (C.S. Lewis)
The Great Divorce (C.S. Lewis)
Mere Christianity (C.S. Lewis)
Animal Farm (George Orwell)
Unlocking the Bible (David Pawson)
12 Rules for Life (Jordan Peterson)
The Gulag Archipelago (Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn)
The Silmarillion (J.R.R. Tolkien)
Father Hunger (Douglas Wilson)
Scripture Alone (James White)
I've read a lot more than this but this is just my collection (other books weren't mine). There are also quite a few Bible translations (even a KJV!) and religious works that are in part not interesting at all for people who do not share my background. Oh, and children's books and all that. My wife also has a few classics of literature but I don't know how many of those she threw away because of that false prophet Marie Kondo! Now she's really sorry about that.

Re: Book collections
WAAY too many to list. I'll list categories:
Bible study/commentaries/Christian non-fiction.
Science/nature/biology (I was a biology major in college/grad school).
Fiction (mostly non-Christian, some Christian).
History.
Michigan special interest (I've lived in MI my whole life).
I have very few books that fall outside of one of these categories.

Cool to see Jordan Peterson on someones list. I've been watching Jordan for years on YouTube...well some of his videos, many of his interviews and some of his speeches, but I've yet to get around to reading his book.
Great mind

Re: Book collections
I'd hit up more garage sales and book places, but there aren't many open or allowed to be held these days of covid1984 lock downs. Same with thrift shops and second hand stores which are also great for finding inexpensive book(or music or movie, etc) gems.

Re: Book collections
I've probably got about 50 or so, but have thrown many more away because of lack of space. In the past I had all Terry Pratchett novels, Craig Shaw Gardener etc.
Of what I have left, my favourites have to be anything by Bill Cooper, notably The Authenticity Of The Book Of Genesis, and After The Flood.

Yes, the different one. But, when I type in his name to see if he's got any new books out, it always goes to the guy who was murdered first.

I have a lot of biographical books. I love those! Especially from rock and metal musicians.

I saw Scott Ian's autobiography *I'm the man* I think its called, at a thrift shop several months ago, almost bought it but got some cds instead.
The only metal musician or musician biography I've actually even read is Marilyn Mansons *the long hard road out of hell*.
I'd like to get my hands on Dave Mustaines biography though, and Alice Coopers *golf monster* and Steve Rowes biography. And a few others.
I'd love to see a Glen Benton autobiography...I'd shell out some cash for that one, lol! Bentons an intriguing dude.
Actually Blackie Lawless should write one too, he's led a very interesting life
