Really enjoy the album but don't listen very often. I'm glad those that never got to hear have a chance to pick up physical copies.

Cool artwork, new remaster and demo tracks? I’m in! Already pre-ordered it...thank you very much!

Re: Ethereal Scourge re-issue
This album just got added to Spotify....
I had never heard it all the way through before.
It's better than I remembered, and I like the demo tracks.

I remember this with great fondness. Big time underrated album, it's a crime really. The music is beautiful and masterfully crafted with gorgeous poetic lyrics to match. I do wish more christian albums were written like this, particularly in the lyrical department.
Love the new cover too. Think I'll grab this one.

Their uptempo tracks are pretty unique/awesome. Thoughts on the remaster? Big difference?

The 2020 Soundmass re-issue of Judgement And Restoration is completely remastered and includes the 4-song demo as bonus tracks. To match the music, this version of this classic Ethereal Scourge album comes with a stunning new layout.

Re: Ethereal Scourge re-issue
I ordered this straight from Rowe Productions back in the late '90s. It was back in the day when Rowe was shipping CD's and liner notes without the jewel cases to save money. It was VERY COSTLY!
I was so impressed with Tombthroat and--especially--Death of Hades on Hard & Heavy from Down Under that I bit the bullet and spent the money.
I was a bit disappointed; I would have liked more fast & heavy tracks like these two on the demo. However, like has been said above, the heavy tracks are fantastic; they have a unique way of layering and harmonizing sounds to squeeze the most emotion and beauty out of the music.
I'd be interested in hearing if the re-master improves the sound. From my memory the original was done very well.

I remember those days! I don't remember if this was one ordered direct from Australia or not, but I have the original as well.

Can anyone comment on the audio quality of the remaster compared to the original? I'm really only interested in 2 of the bonus tracks and probably won't buy this unless the audio quality is improved significantly. I have my doubts b/c the original was pretty good already.

Thanks! I had looked for it on Amazon Music, but had forgotten Spotify b/c I don't use it very often. I'd prefer to A-B them in the same music player to ensure they each have the same processing. But I am listening now to them with my lower end studio headphones. On Warcry I'm not sure I can tell any difference; I'd have to load the songs into my DAW and run an analyzer on them. And at that point there's no point in upgrading b/c the differences would be so small.
I'm not going to put out the money just to get 2 bonus songs at the end of the disc.
