I think mine is Red Sea. I got the remastered version on CD and vinyl a while ago. I listened to the CD all the way through several weeks ago and I really like it. I would love to see the band get back together and do another album. I want more from them. I may pick up that out of print Greg Chiasson CD.

I'd have to go with the self-titled Rage Of Angels album from 1989. It's such a shame that they didn't stick around for at least one more!

Yeah ....Rage Of Angels immediately was the first band that came to mind...that’s definitely a classic!DilemnaNation wrote:I'd have to go with the self-titled Rage Of Angels album from 1989. It's such a shame that they didn't stick around for at least one more!
Also, Red Sea “Blood”....that was and still is a great album...I would love to hear more from that band also.
I’m not sure but did Emerald put out anything besides “Armed For Battle?” I believe that was their only album(ep) but then made into a full length last year. This band is one of my all time favorites.
The self titled album from Legacy was their only release(I think) and then was re-released in 2010. Awesome 80’s rock.

Re: What is your favorite band with just one album released?
As noted by several of you in one way or another, this can be trickier than it might at first appear:
One and only one label-released studio full-length:
Indwelling -- And My Eye Shall Weep
One full-length, but with an additional EP:
Grave Declaration -- When Dying Souls Scream Praise
One label-released studio EP:
Dark Endless -- Dark End Times
Only one full-length studio album, but later re-branded under the name of another pre(and post)-existing band to "avoid confusion," and also happened to have some tracks under the original name produced as remixes and included on a various/3-way split album which also had tracks of the same nature by the band under which the full-length was later re-released under, as noted above:
Brainchild -- Mindwarp
No label listed, but doesn't really seem like a "demo," so not sure how to maybe count or not?
Spirit's Breeze -- None Should Perish
Album is titled with the word "Demo," so does this count as a different category? Probably all of the above had demos but we're not counting them, so if demos don't count then they should count somehow else, right? Maybe?
Geistkrieg -- Demo (2006)
Geez, I need a nap.

Re: What is your favorite band with just one album released?
I second a lot of what was on Kerrick's list. Vaakevandring and Dormant are probably my top two picks. Vaakevandring's demo was released twice and then a third time as an EP with a bonus track, but I guess that counts for this thread? Also Dormant's release was technically an EP and not an album, but it's long enough to be more of an "extended extended play".

Definitely Red Sea, Northern Flame and Rage Of Angels. I'd add Deth Enemy to that list.
Has to be said that apart from Red Sea, all 3 are somewhere in the process of doing a second album.

I knew that Deth Enemy was working on another.
Rage of Angels has been rumored since way back in 2013. There was a guy here that was looking for musicians for it. The band Facebook page reactivated last year, I believe, but they have not so much as released a teaser for it making one wonder if anything will materialize. I really have my doubts on this. I predict it comes out right after a new Neon Cross album does or a new Whitecross. I hope I am wrong, but after 7 years of rumors, I am not getting my hopes up until someone with Roxx Records announces the pre-order.
