Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
At the moment, I have these:
Amanda, my first bass - a pink Ibanez RD707
Aurora, my first 5-string bass - a wood finish Washburn MB5
Aleana - a red metallic 5-string Yamaha RBX375
Melinda, my first electric guitar - a black Jackson JDX-94
Darci, my first 7-string guitar - a matte black ESP LTD EC257
I also have a couple of steel string guitars, but I don't have any pictures of them.

Yes. The two larger control knobs are Balance & Volume. The three smaller knobs are Bass, Mid & Treble. The 2 switches are Active/Passive & Mid Freq. Selection 400/800. Its a great sounding Bass.

I currently have my eye on the new PRS SE CE 24 Standard Satin. It's a 24 fret guitar, PRS standard temolo, satin finish, and it's only $499 (american, don't know about y'all's money systems). It looks awesome, has great reviews, 24 frets without a Floyd Rose (which I've been wanting), and it's not expensive at all.

Should be a great guitar for you, CTR. That's app. $800 Canadian. It's been my opinion for years that the average guitarist would be happy with most guitars $500CA and above.

Yeah. Cheap guitars have gotten a lot better recently. My Ibanez Jem Jr. only cost $500 (or $800 Canadian I guess), and it's one of my favorite guitars.

That Schecter is a beauty! I used to have a Schecter Omen bass years ago, wish I kept it. I play around the Toronto scene, sometimes in Ottawa and Montreal too.Sevenoneself wrote:^^ Very cool. Where do you play, mostly?
I'm pretty much a church and hobbiest musician. For the longest time I only had one of each instrument, but I've been gifted a few (and given away a few) in recent years. But these are my main ones:
Top is a Schecter, bottom is one of the new Martin models.

I recently signed up for a Guitar Center give away. They have an electric pack and an acoustic pack, I signed up for the electric. It has an EVHIII 50W amp, Line 6 Helix Multi Effects Pedal, cables, a leather strap, and a Jackson American Series Soloist SL3. Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Thanks for the new guitar, God!

Thanks! God has been good to me. I had one electric guitar (knock-off Les Paul) for about 20 years. Then my wife bought me this one for my 40th birthday a few years ago. What a beautiful gift, and it plays so nice.Sabbath85 wrote:That Schecter is a beauty! I used to have a Schecter Omen bass years ago, wish I kept it. I've only had 2 acoustics during my "adult" life as well (and only because one was stolen!). During Covid we received a bit of an inheritance and I picked up this Martin; I think it plays just as nice as Taylor's and Gibson's that are twice the price.
When you say you play the "scene" in these cities, what do you mean? Do you play regularly with some bands?

^^ Do you remember what the name of the knock-off was? Some of those are just as good! Like those Japanese Tokai's and Fernandes.
I mean the metal scene around Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.. I have a death metal band and we play the clubs/smaller venues, sometimes we get invited for just local shows, little metal fests or open for a bigger band that's on tour. We got to open for Immolation a few years ago.

Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
^^ Dillion guitars was the name. I agree with you, this is a great guitar and is still just as reliable as 25 years ago when I bought it. Mine is the DL Extreme Cherry Sunburst; absolutely gorgeous and stunning to look at. I got it for $600CAN in 2001. The only repair work I've ever had to do on it is replace the 3-way pickup selector (a handful of times).

Do you have any music of your band to listen to or watch? I'd love to hear/see some of your music. I've never been in any band that's played together for any length of time (other than Church bands), and love checking people's music out.
