Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
these are just the ones that get picked up with any frequency. Got a few entry level small scale "kids" axes laying around for the kids, and my first guitar (Korean strat copy from the early 90's that is in need of some TLC and not playable) as well....several of these went up on the old CMR when I got them.......
count the tuners . It'd be awesome if it said Gibson on the headstock rather than Epiphone, but then again, these were exclusive to the Epi line.......
"SX" LP classic knockoff from Rondomusic.com. Great piece for the price, solid build, but it feels like a toy compared to it's big brother up there.
GTX23, late 80's era, Kaman/Ovation. slightly flamed top is about 1/4" thick, the rest of the body is some form of what appears to be plywood. not a whole lot of info around on them, pickups are not active, just covered, and this is a BRIGHT sounding guitar..
1994 Jackson Professional Soloist XL. For folks not in the know, these were Japanese imports, and many consider them to be on par with the Jackson USA models from the era, if not better! This is also the only truly "thin" necked guitar I have ever gotten along with.....compound radius fretboard is just sooooooooo comfortable, and you don't have to be a shredder to appreciate THAT
the next few are NOT my pictures, but pictures of guitars I own that I do not have pictures of
(as close as I can get to my '85 Gibson Explorer that was my first pawnshop prize, mine has an Ibanez lo-pro instead of a Kahler, Dimarzio x2n's, and stickers from Extol, TqT, Sympathy and a few others on it. Def. a "beater", but sounds/play awesome for what I do)
1954/55 Guild X50 that is technically my father in law's. I've had it in the house for 17 years. Mine's probably in somewhat worse condition than this, and is missing the pickguard/has different nobs.
Washburn WG-587
Ibanez GSR105EXBK, and the thing instrument i've been messing with the most lately. I discovered the hard way shortly after getting it that about the only thing a bass truly has in common with a guitar is that they both have strings and pickups fun to play with, starting to get a moderate feel for things, really happy with it considering it's about as low on the totem pole you can get, but MAN do I need to get it in and have a pro set it up.......

These are my two babies, a Squier VM Jazz Bass and an Ibanez NDM2:

Hamer XT Series Californian 2. Bought it used from my bass teacher, who added Ibanez pickups. It's mostly a project guitar more than my main bass/guitar…
Ibanez SRA500. Superb bass, great tone, easy playing, and cool body.
I also have an acoustic, but no pictures thereof.
I plan on adding an Ibanez SRA505 bass to my collection soon, and possibly a Schecter Damien V (my brother's).

Nice Squier Jazz , mine is the VM Fretless and I love it! My other two are a Washburn XB600 6-string and the black one is a Carvin LB-20.

Thought the same thing! Don't feel bad though RFW, most guitarists have very similar stories. You're in a good club.
I'll be posting pics of my babies soon.

Takes some practice, but you get used to it. The neck is quite a bit wider, so you tend to shorten your strap a little and wear the bass higher so your wrist doesn't have as much stress on it. Other than that, your standard 4 strings are in the middle and you have one lower string and one higher string. I've had that bass since 1998, so I'm pretty comfortable with it, I just replaced all the wiring and the onboard pre-amp last fall so I'm really enjoying playing it more than I had been for a while.

Oops......I did it AGAIN!!!!! EVERY TIME I have a decent sum of money, that stupid gear bug bites, and I come down with a raging GAS infection as a result......
At least this time, there was a real purpose behind the purchase (other than ), as my father in law will be getting his guild back next tie I see him.......

Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
Thanks, guys. Nothing "top of the line" or famous name about this one, though. It's a Johnson JH-440-TSB "Las Vegas" model. Maple back/front, mahogany sides, nato neck, rosewood fingerboard. You can find them new on the 'bay and Amazon for about $360-ish, plust tax/shipping/case (you'll end up at about $450 w/ a decent case, and Amazon Prime shipping....). i managed to find that beauty in a local pawnshop for half that WITH a TKL hard case, and I don't have to do much to it, because the previous owner already took care of giving it a decent setup!
Humbuckers are unbranded, but sounded good enough. the acoustic sound is weird/interesting:because of the body shape and location of the F-holes, the sound projecting from the f-holes is ever so slightly out of sync with the sound coming of the strings, lends a subtle chorus/phaser/auto-wah thing to the sound, but it's a 100% natural physical occurance instead of pedals.....I find it to be kinda cool, some other folks might be annoyed by it. If I have a chance (and the kids are quiet enough LOL!), I'll try and grab a sound sample with the Ipad tomorrow.....

Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
I am a left handed player; so, all of my axes are lefties.
This is my Ibanez SR300. I play gigs with this bass and I always keep it tuned to drop C.
This is my Ibanez SR100 and I keep it tuned to standard.
This is my Epiphone Les Paul Special II
I also have an Ibanez mini Dreadnaught Acoustic, Squier Stratocaster, Martin Backpacker, and cheapo Esteban Classical.

GOt bit by that dang GAS bug again.....
'08 Epi "Prophecy" series SG Custom mahogany/quilt maple veneer, THIN "D" profiled mahogany neck, bound ebony FB w/14" radius, EMG 81/85 (neck/bridge), Grover tuners......a VERY nicely outfitted guitar, and my first with EMGs. This thing positively SNARLS with an upper midrange bark....INSTANT RTL/MOP era Metallica tone just plugging it into my favorite patch on my V-amp. Price was so low I drove 80 miles just to check it out.

My main bass rig.....A Peavey PRO500 head in a rack with a compressor/noise gate and a tuner on top of a Peavey 410TVX cabinet. Thunderous!

Re: Guitars?....Let's see 'em!
Sorry I don't have any pictures to post at the moment...
I have an Ibanez SR600 bass that I bought new in 1991. I just recently started playing it again this last month after not picking it up for about 10 years (don't shoot me, I know it was terribly wrong of me to ignore such a sweet ride for so long... I'm trying to make up for lost time now). My fingers are just starting to toughen up again.
I play it through an early eighties Peavey TNT 100 combo. I also have a little Peavey Max 126 bass amp for solo practice.
