I was wondering this morning, I know a bit about the political weirdness around healthcare in the USA but how common is it for Americans to have a healthcare insurance? Do you guys have one?

Health insurance is usually something provided by employers. They partner with some company that does it and it becomes part of the benefits package for your job. This is also typically how dental and vision insurance work. Sometimes life insurance as well, although it's also fairly easy to go and get your own life insurance separate from your job.

I have health insurance through my wife's work, only because its better coverage and cost than the health insurance offered through my own work.

My brother, is self employed and does not have health insurance.  It concerns me some, because he's prone to just white-knuckle his way through any injury or sickness to try to save money.

The political weirdness for insurance doesn't stand out to me as much as every medical facility I've been too, obviously milking insurance for everything they can. 

My wife's 84 year old grandfather went in for a checkup, and they told him he could have a heart catheter/stint if he wanted one.  Heart surgery on demand I guess if there's $$$$ to harvest from the insurance.

I have decent health insurance paid for by the church. But I’m still terrified to incur the cost of an ER bill. If my arm gets chopped off or something, I’ll just hope it grows back.

Does anyone know if using the spoiler feature prevents videos from bogging down threads? If so, then it's totally fine to just use that in your signatures for videos, large pictures, etc. Thanks!
