Thank you, Lord!
My personal financial situation is currently under a bit of stress. I've spent several hundred euros extra on both necessary things (eg. dentist) and very unnecessary things (speeding ticket) this past month. And apart from this stress, we're two employees short in my department. One of them simply got a new job, but the most stressful thing about it was that the other one was on sick leave for depression, and ended up dead in a (quite possibly intentional) car crash. I also have a lot of other things on my mind right now, so I've been getting a bit down from all of this.
I was sitting in the car on my way to work this morning, worrying about all of this. I'm the type of person who rarely asks God for help, I feel like I can make it on my own (I know, I started writing a song about this). But on my way to work, I felt that I really needed to ask God for help. Immediately as I started doing it, a song in Swedish started playing in my head. I haven't heard this song in many years, it's a song we used to sing in Sunday school. The first line of the lyrics (in Swedish) is "Gör dig inga bekymmer för din morgondag", which is basically the first part of Matt 6:34 word for word. The same passage in English is "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow".
Needless to say, I'm much more at ease about all of this now. Thank you, Lord!
