Meh. Only thing moderately unique ( and becoming less so) is that it’s an all girl band not playing pop. Otherwise it’s another drop in the vast ocean of generic hard rock/ metalcore. They’ll probably do ok because dudes love a girl(s) in a band.

I like 'em. They seem to have a heart for the Lord and will fill the void left in Christian music after the loss of Flyleaf, Barlow Girl, and Fireflight going pop. As far as I know, there aren't many bands like this now on Christian labels that even have a female singer much less an all girl band.

Did they sing the opening for Tourniquet's "Chart of the Elements"?

They definitely have lyrics that point to Jesus.
They kind of remind me of Barlow Girl (if that group did harsh vocals and harder riffs)

Re: Gold Frankincense & Myrrh
Just discovered them yesterday. I'm really digging them. At first listen it may sound just like typical modern hard/rock with some metalcore, but they really do write some good songs and good riffs. I like their first album/ep "Death of Giants" better than the newer "Identity Crisis". It is more raw and less produced and modern sounding (Skillet, etc) than the newer one.
Not only did they (probably the record company) overproduce the second album and make it more modern and polished sounding, they apparently made them rerecord and dumb down some songs that were on their first album. For example, listen to the great metal riff at the beginning of this song on their first album:

Now listen to the new version without the technical riff on the second album. I guess they have to appeal to the masses to sell more albums and keep the record companies happy. Still sounds really good though.

Haha! Seriously though, listen to their first album "Death of Giants". Some of the riffs and guitar sound remind me of some recent Tediquet riffs.
