Favorite album by Demon Hunter
As I continue to explore Christian bands I have for far too long ignored for no logical reason, I am currently going through Demon Hunter's albums. While it's too early for me to vote, what is your favorite?

Vote Triptych and I doubt that will ever change.

True Defiance. I love True Defiance. Great songs all around, God Forsaken is my favorite DH song at least musically. The two extras on the deluxe edition made that worth getting too.
There's not a bad album in the bunch.

True Defiance for me. Crucifix (my personal favorite), God Forsaken, Wake, Someone to Hate... what a great album. I feel a DH binge coming on.

I've been listening since Summer of Darkness, and I'd say The Tryptich is my favorite. Lots of good albums though... They, along with War of Ages are about the most consistent heavy metal bands in Christian music.

Re: Favorite album by Demon Hunter
I've never really gotten into the earlier albums.
Back when first came around we used to rip the band and others like them. Too nu-metal and too much hard verse/soft chorus predictability. We were death, thrash, black and classic metal fans. Fast forward 10 yrs to me being born again, expanding my musical horizons and I come to find DH had moved my way. They were more metal, had great guitar solos, some gothic tinge reminiscent of Paradise Lost "Draconian Times" era and I was hooked. The album, True Defiance. Going backwards into the older stuff seemed to only prove they'd gotten better as they went.
Still love Extremist but it's not as solidly heavy as TD and doesn't have I Am A Stone as a bonus track.

I'm a pretty big fan of everything they've ever done. From a purely technical standpoint, I do like that they've incorporated more solos and melodic leads over the years. The Triptych will always be a special album to me since it was the one that got me into metal though. I still love a lot of those songs to this day too, so that gets my vote.

I like everything they have done as well - hard to pick a favorite tune - I am a stone - crucifix - true defiance - 1000 apologizes - carry me down - dead flowers - blood in the tears - where do I stop ???

To continue the recent trend, I'm finding Summer of Darkness is what I'm liking best thus far. However, I will listen a little longer before casting my vote.

The only thing I don't like about SoD is there a few filler songs imo, where The Tryptych is great the whole way through.
