Switchfoot - Where the Light Shines Through

Post by KaramKaram on Fri Oct 07, 2016 5:31 pm

I am listening to this online. I am on my third listening, and I must say that I love this record.
However, I am finding MANY similarities with other bands. One song sounds like Coldplay, other as Foo Fighters other as Bruno Mars and so on.
Have you listened to this? Or there's no love for Switchfoot here?

I like Switchfoot quite a bit, but have not listened to this yet. Perhaps this weekend I'll make time for it.

Switchfoot is one of my all-time favorites, so I have this album along with the entire rest of their discography. I'm not sure if they can ever top Vice Verses for me personally, but this one is still a very good record that I end up liking a little more every time I listen to it. The title track, Live It Well, Holy Water, and If The House Burns Down Tonight are probably the highlight tracks for me.

I like a handful of their songs, but a full album of theirs never really held my attention.

Im the same way to an extent............

other than The Beautiful Letdown and Nothing Is Sound most of their albums have a few good songs a piece but the rest I can't listen to all of in the same sitting

I havent bought their last two albums, not because I dont like them but because compared to other bands they are way down my "purchase" list.
