Minecraft
Anyone play this game? My children do on our Xbox 360, and I've been known to pick up the controller a few times as well.
I'm amazed at what this guy built and it took him over 4 years!

Re: Minecraft
I tried to play mine craft once. My daughter had built a beautiful world, and handed me a controller.
A few minutes in, I decided that the best way to remove a stupidly large tree, rather than chopping it down by hand, would be to burn it, from the top down, so I put a fire on top of it.
Except it wasn't "fire", it was LAVA.
Oops.
Three of her siblings frantically logged on to the server to help her try and get things under control but.........
I'm not allowed to play mine craft with her anymore.

"You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here."

Re: Minecraft
Never once have I played it, but I've enjoyed videos of it played. Moreso because of what the players are saying during play. I think the game by itself would bore me.
Every time I think of Minecraft, I think of this video:

My daughter plays, mostly in creative mode. I have a world I share with her but I don't use it much, only when she wants to play it with me.

Re: Minecraft
I play with it ever once in a while. Not on this level tho. Just simple little things. My son loves it like crack tho! Had to take the phone away from him.
Re: Minecraft
My youngest son used to love it a few years ago (when he was 14), then he discovered Skyrim and hasn't touched Minecraft since.

My oldest daughter loves Skyrim. She usually plays it Saturday nights between 10 and midnight as I'm winding down and can't keep my eyes open for movies anymore.

Re: Minecraft
I love Skyrim too, and have the Legendary Edition where there's no level cap and all the expansions are included... but things get to buggy on that game the more areas you unlock.
I lost count of how many times I started a new game, start beefing up and unlocking more areas, only to start encountering dragons that fly backwards or people with the legs stuck in trees or anatomically impossible buildings or a flat out freezing that makes it impossible to progress further.
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is a much better alternative. Good grief, now THAT'S what Skyrim should have been like.

Re: Minecraft
It's a great game, who need a lot of time in all it modes. Some people create real work of art with, i loved PixelHive's channel (now deleted) for that:
I like to create a little world in creative then play on it in survival, with some extensions like Biomes O Plenty for landscapes of Too Much TNT for mining and terraforming, it's pretty cool
