For Today - Farewell Tour
From their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ForToday/?fref=ts
After over 11 years as a band, 6 full length albums and 1 EP, we have decided to make 2016 the last year of For Today. When we started this band in 2005, we never imagined that our music would make it out of Sioux City, Iowa, let alone take us all around the world multiple times. Our lives have been hugely impacted by the time we've spent making music and touring. We met our wives, had kids and moved to different states because of For Today. It's been an incredible experience, but we feel like now is the time to close this chapter of our lives and move on. There's no behind the scenes drama happening or disagreements between band members. We're all still best friends and will continue to be long after the band is over.
We want to thank everybody who has made this possible, especially the fans who have kept us going for so many years. That's why we're excited to announce that we're doing an extensive farewell tour, hitting all our favorite cities in the country, as well as some international dates. Come hang out with us one last time and let's make these last shows some that we'll never forget!
NOTE* these dates are not listed on the graphic however have been confirmed!
12.16 - St. Louis, MO
12.18 - Dallas, TX

I will miss them. I have a feeling that with the climate being what it is, there will be fewer and fewer bands who are willing to preach the truth of Jesus Christ.

I might try and make that show in Chicago, their final one. That would be an epic show.

Re: For Today - Farewell Tour
The whole night was awesome. The sold-out crowd was awesome and we all knew the words. For Today's singer said it's early in the tour but so far we were the best show. For Today really put it all out there as their final tour and final show in (city X). They really appreciated us all being there.
All of the bands were good but Wage War and Rival Choir had short sets. Gideon was tight. I hadn't heard Wage War before but I thought they were pretty good. Not that RC is bad but I think I preferred them as Mouth of the South. The RC guys (I talked to the singer and one guitarist) were really cool.
The club didn't allow real SLR cameras so I didn't get any good pictures but I got to meet some band members and get CDs autographed.
I'm glad I caught the first half of the tour with Gideon, etc. I like those opening acts better than the second half openers. I *may* see them again at the Pontiac, MI show in December.
