I want a release date.  2017 leaves a lot of open territory.

I kind of lost interest in DH after True Defiance, but I'll definitely be checking this out. May give Extremist another chance too.

My pre-order arrived yesterday.  Excellent!  Lots more clean vocals than previous releases but still heavy.  Anyone else get theirs yet?  What do you think?

Got mine today. I'm enjoying it. Definitely not as heavy on my initial listen but I got the box and the two bonus tracks are heavy. It would be interesting to mix up the track list with those because it would regain that missing heavy element and balance it out. Seems pretty solid. All the prerelease tracks sound better in the context of the album. Time will tell on as I keep listening where it falls. Generally I consider the band as getting better as they've gone.

One more quick note: in watching the Documentary DVD, I didn't realize so many things had happened! I knew about Yogi's house and babies being born but I didn't know all the other trials they'd gone through (not trying to be a spoiler). Outlive indeed! I was amazed and the personal, emotional nature of the interviews and then listening to the album in that mindset is something else.

Can hardly wait to get this album. Though it doesn't sound as heavy as previous stuff, DH is amazing.

I fooled myself into thinking yesterday was the release date. I then proceeded to get aggravated when I couldn't get it. Silly me... one more week.   Embarassed

Agreed on pretty much everything.  I'm not sure if this will top True Defiance as my favorite, time will tell.  I haven't seen the DVD yet but I'm ok with spoilers.

Oh man you guys are lucky! I haven't been able to pick it up yet, but I sure am gonna pick it up when I can! Honestly my favorite DH releases are definitely True Defiance, Storm The Gates Of Hell, The Triptych, The World is a Thorn, and their first and self titled album which is my all time favorite DH release.

So how many songs are there 12? Is that deluxe songs included? Or are there 14 tracks counting deluxe edition?

There are 14 on the deluxe edition.

To me it seems like they intentionally went a softer direction because "A Fear I Used To Know" is one of the heaviest tracks and was the first track Ryan wrote for the album. It's also one of the best. Weird to leave it off the regular edition. They're always saving tracks too good to miss for the deluxe.

Savage is good but there are definitely better tracks. So, one great and one real solid.

I ended up getting I am a Stone off of Amazon later myself. Still one of my favorite DH tracks.
