I keep my CDs displayed on racks and jewel cases look nicer that way.

I like the digipak (I know there are many folks here who don't though!).  I think it looks nicer and you don't mess up the booklet when taking it out to read it.  With the jewel cases, it's hard to not scratch or dent the booklets.  Also the tabs that hold in the CD are FAR less likely to break...

One thing I like about the jewel cases though is that they protect the cover and if they get scratched, you can just replace them.  If the front or back of a digipak is scratched... oh well.

Jewelcase, the tray in a digipak is irreplaceable and always breaks shipping overseas. Also shipping without jewelcase is possible, so lower shipping costs. I'm fine with digisleeves.

Jewel case.
I absolutely loath digipaks.  I have had liquid spilled on both jewel cases and digipaks and the jewel case always survives with little or no permanent damage (and that is just one of the many reasons I despise them).  Heck I would even prefer a simple cardboard sleeve on the cd (similar to vinyl) over the dreaded digi.

I'm with ya, pretty much.  While I don't hate digipaks, I HIGHLY prefer jewel cases.  If digipak is the only format available, I'll do it, but if given a choice, I'm pickin' jewel case ever stankin' time.

I only slightly prefer jewel cases.  Digipacks can be cool if they use a high gloss finish.  That helps to protect them from moisture.  I have some cardboard sleeve CDs with that gloss finish that have gotten wet and they were fine if wiped off instantly and allowed to dry out.

The digipack is cool in the way that you just open it an can read the inserts.  I don't care about having a CD booklet inside the digipack.  That's just wasted paper.  Just put the credits inside the front flap.  If you want to share the lyrics, how about a PDF file of the lyrics embedded on the disc?

I have my own gripes over jewel cases, but at least they protect the artwork/inserts...I think digipacks are cool but they wear out too easy.

Digipak as long as it has a plastic disc tray in it. I loathe the all cardboard ones since they make your disc look like it came out of a grinder each time you try to remove it from the slot it's in.

I've never had a digipak break on me. But having received many cd shipments where all the cases were shattered every time (DMD) I have come to appreciate the digipak.

I stopped buying CDs a couple of years ago and only do downloads. While I miss opening a CD and putting it in and reading the booklet, I just ran out of space to keep storing more and more of them. So, it doesn't matter to me whether jewel case or digipak.

This is where I am at now too. I do digital only these days, you also usually save a buck or two. I still manage to end up with more CDs though, I just keep trying to sell them.

If I stopped buying physical copies this would be a big reason for it.

My digipacks just end up getting hashed.  I just can't have nice things.  Gotta have that durability.

I like digipaks but when I put them on my shelves with my jewelcases they normally get smashed and bent when I add more to the shelf.

90% of what I own is jewelcase

I'm okay with both as long as the packaging is really good. Though jewel cases have more longevity for sure. My CDs stay in the vault so I'm usually not too worried about that.
