Sean Michel -- great bluesy hard rock

Post by strangerhoncho on Fri Jun 17, 2016 12:48 am

I saw this guy on the Audiofeed Festival lineup and his music is actually pretty rad hard blues rock.  I guess he was on American Idol (ugh), but his music is legit.  Probably the best Christian blues hard rock I've heard in years.  Good video starting at about :50 sec mark.

Here he is playing with Glenn Kaiser a couple years back:

Now that's something I could play often!  I love his style!

I bought the downloads of this and am loving it.  This is some great blues material with a lot of slide action.  Sean's voice is much better on his full albums than it is on the one video song.  I tried to check out his Facebook and it was inactive.  I found no website either.  So, I wonder if he's even doing music, or is he currently in American Idol?

Sean has a great blues/soul voice.  I like the slide style guitar he plays.  The album is weak in the lead solo department, but this is done in a way that would be simple to pull of in a live setting.  For some reason, I don't mind that he isn't doing a lot of solos.
