Re: Recently Watched Movies
The Core-It was ok, but pretty much your standard disaster film, and the amount of technobabble (granted, in this film it was probably scientifically accurate) rivaled any Star Trek film
Dead Alive-Completely over the top horror film with cartoonish gore. Was the third film made by Peter Jackson, but obviously doesnt resemble Lord of the Rings in any way.

I watched the Lethal Weapon series with my parents. I don't think I had ever seen the third or fourth ones and it had been YEARS since I saw the first two. They're a lot of fun! I really enjoyed them.

Far better than Interstellar but not as good as The Dark Knight (if I had to compare it to another Nolan movie).

Was not Jet Li simply amazing in part 4?
And the comedic banter and timing between Gibson, Glover, Rock and Pesci is just hilarious. It's hard enough to get 2 guys on screen that have good comedic harmony (Laurel/Hardy, Abbott/Costello, Candy/Martin, Chan/Tucker), much less 4!

Home(2015) - Fun stuff.
Moonrise Kingdom - I love Wes Anderson films and this is another. Oh man, just hilarious. I never knew you could make a child getting stabbed hilarious. And the dialogue? Just hilarious.
Sam: Why do you consider me your enemy?
Redford: Because your girlfriend stabbed me in the back with lefty scissors.
Sam: She's my wife now.
Redford: Congratulations!
Sam: Thank you. But I'm saying before that, six weeks ago, from day one, why didn't you like me?
Redford: Why should I? Nobody else does.

I have to rewatch the Dark Knight. I think I remember it being my favorite of the three. I really liked Interstellar, and would probably rate it higher than Inception for me.

I give Interstellar such a bad rating because Nolan got the science so wrong.

Just watched the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Meh, I was bored and it was on TV.

I especially loved Deadshot's backstory as the movie focuses mostly on him to me. Harley and the Joker were cool, as well. The villians were weak, but I think that this movie is more about setting up the rest of the DCU as is evidenced by the appearance of Batman and later Bruce Wayne during the mid credits scene.

I only watched the teaser and don't recall seeing Batman. I'll rent it.

I started to watch Contagion on TV last night. I had to turn it off before I became Howie Mandell.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
My wife and I saw Lights Out a couple days ago. It was pretty creepy. The preview for Don't Breathe looked even scarier. Definitely want to see that when it comes out.

He isn't in it very much. This story focuses more on the villians. Batman is really just there for a little backstory and a little publicity for next year's Justice League movie.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I forgot to mention that I watched Gods of Egypt by Proyas. Terrible movie. I like his other works for the most part (thanks Kerrick for the introduction to him in Dark City), but this movie sucked big time. I even fell asleep late in the movie. Plus, it was super long for a movie of this type.

I think only Alex Proyas' first two movies (The Crow and Dark City) are any good... After that, I'm not sure what happened!

The Crow
Dark City
I, Robot
I own all three and he was great with all of them, although many did not enjoy I, Robot.
I have not watched Knowing yet.
