Jacobs Dream ~ Drama Of The Ages

Just been spinning this album now, forgot how much I loved this fantastic album.  This album is SO underrated IMO!!!  Anyone else agree?

It is a fantastic album, great music and vocals....my only sticking point is the sub-par production.

I haven't been able to get into their music.  I had the first couple of albums and traded or sold them.

Well now that I'm no longer in the band. I guess I can say this. The production issues with my former band stem from the following. 1. They have a really nice studio of thier own. 2. While they know how to record they are not engineers or producers. They are musicians. 3. They do not want anyone else mixing it etc.. In all honesty even if Somone did and it was actually way better they would probably still hate it and think that theirs was better.

In not saying all this to throw them under the bus. This is just one of the many reasons I'm no longer there. I pleaded with them many times on this issue as I was getting tired of reading the same....my only complaint is the production.... Then I ended up in a band like Letters To The Blind where the production sounds in line with mainstream music and yet I'm struggling to gain non local attention lol. Go figure. Anyways...they have been working on that record since Dec 2009..maybe it will be those best production.

I just saw it at a Record Exchange, and, it put a smile on my face.

I got my first Believer LP at that same RE.
