This just isn't my year.... :/

have not been to a dentist in years, actually don't have one and am in the process of getting one lined up. I have a severely chipped wisdom tooth that has not give me any trouble until Friday. No tooth pain, but I have started with some pretty ugly swelling and soreness in the gum and throat area immediately behind it. I believe I have a pretty good case of pericoronitis in progress, and the "natural antibiotics" route is seeming somewhat less than effective, not really doing much to fix things, MAYBE just keeping it from being worse than it is. The leftover NSAID/Vicodin from my shoulder incident a couple weeks back have kept me from going crazy (good thing I ended up not needing much!) but I'm pretty sure a trip to the urgent care facility for get "proper" diagnosis and real, true antibiotics with some potency is in my immediate future......
Ugh.
Yeah, prayers for things would be great, especially that I can get a dentist lined up quickly. Not looking forward to what said dentist is going to have to say to me.......but oh well. It's gotta be done....

Yup. Antibiotics prescribed, first dose taken. Hope this does the trick.....

After 4 doses, I can tell the infection is clearing up, I'm controlling most of the swelling with ibuprofen, weaning myself off the more powerful prescription painkiller/NSAID combo.
Thanks to insurance, total out of pocket expense for a trip to urgent care and filling the prescription was 56 cents:shock:

I said the exact same thing in regards to getting another Foley (catheter) after they took mine out that they put in during surgery. I hate catheters, but I hate not being able to pee even more.

Thanks for the prayer cover, folks. Infection is gone, inflammation is almost zero at this point, just gotta finish gettin a dental provider lined up and get the darn problem tooth taken care of.
