Fierce Heart - featuring Rex Carroll
Many will recall Fierce Heart, the mid-eighties mainstream project in which guitarist Rex Carroll was involved prior to joining Whitecross. The good news is that the Fierce Heart self-titled debut was recently re-mastered and officially re-released (this is not a bootleg) on AOR Blvd Records with new (and highly improved) cover art. Carroll helps provide the detailed liner notes.
Musically, Fierce Heart presents with eighties influenced melodic hard rock that combines the gritty vocals of Larry Elkins with the signature virtuoso guitar statements in which Carroll is identified. Lyrically, this is a secular release through and through.
Sadly, I cannot find any samples of the re-mastered tracks online, although most if not all songs can be streamed at YouTube.

Wow, never heard of this.... Is there a site where it can be purchased?
Not bad stuff either, this is from the original release. I kind of like this cover art featured here:

I purchased a copy from NEH Records, although I am sure it is also available on eBay & Amazon.

I remember this one having a few spotty lyrics. Not tons of bad stuff, just a little here and there. Just an FYI to those who steer clear of anything spotty.

Yeah, I did not realize it wasn't Christian until it was pointed out to me. Here is an interesting interview with Rex down by our own Artie.

A very good album when it first came out. Strange artwork.
I did get the re-issue. Iam liking the bonus tracks, not sure if they are available to listen to online yet.
