Electronic Drums Empty Electronic Drums

Playing on an electronic kit is like placing nylon strings on an electric guitar and playing w/ out an amp. You have no dynamics between stick and cymbal(s) that is found on an acoustic kit. Metal and wood can do SO much more than wood against rubber. Oh well....

True James. Though I have found that using super light sticks helps a ton. I always use 9A's on the V-Drums. Try it. It will be better. But it makes it odd to go back to acoustic tubs. I always use 2B's when playing live acoustic. But yeah, the light sticks are much more responsive on the V's.

I've been in a band that used electronic drums, I have to say I prefer the sound of acoustic drums but the setup is sure a lot easier with the electronic ones!

We did a variety of styles and it was nice to just hit a button and change the whole sound of the kit to whatever was right for that set of songs.
