NEW MEGADETH IT'S HERE!

Who else thinks this is going to be a strong album? Judging from the 2 songs they have released, I'm excited to hear the rest.

sounds like it will be strong. I passed on the last one, but i'll probably get this one based on the songs I've heard.

I didn't mind Super Collider at all. It got a lot of hate, but after the high quality of the last few albums I was willing to give Dave some leeway. Plus, I honestly liked it. Not his best, but not crap either. It was almost like he was trying to do another Cryptic Writings or Risk but on his terms and not some producer's. Can't wait for Dystopia though! The three songs I've heard totally shred!

Don't know what I think.  Megadeth has been a VERY hit or miss proposition for me since CTE.  Hopefully the infusion of new blood proves beneficial.....

This is not sounding good.

I think the drums will be the most interesting part of the whole album. 

Not sold on the solos either.

I love it. Must be my favorite of the three songs released so far.
It reminds me a bit of "Tears in a Vial" from The System Has Failed.

I loved Endgame, Th1rt3en was alright, and I didn't even buy Super Collider. I like the sound of this so far though. It doesn't captivate me as much as Endgame did, but it's still enjoyable.

I'm one of those folks who never really liked Megadeth. I was a HUGE fan of Metallica, Slayer and most other thrash bands though. I never could get past Dave's whiny vocals.

However, after many years, I was persuaded by a good friend (thanks Aaron!) to give them a fresh chance ... so I did. I went to Rate Your Music and purchased the album that most fans say is their best (Rust In Peace). I was impressed. It was much better than I thought it would be! However, I still am not sure I'd like much beyond that album. Some of these new songs don't seem to do it for me for whatever reason. Maybe that'll change in time.

However, in the meantime I'll crank "Rust in Peace" and be thankful that I'm at least a casual fan now.

I've been waiting for this album for many months and, to me, it really sounds good so far. I suspect this album, like, Endgame, will gain the interest of fans of their early stuff. Either way, I'm per-ordering it.

I really dig it! It's too early to say where it will land for me in the ranks, but it is by far, a better album than the last few. The drums are Mega-brutal! I really liked the early released songs, but there are many more smokin' hot songs on this album.

Brutal drumming, smokin guitars, & a bad attitude, makes for the most furious & original sounding Megadeth in a LONG time! I love Endgame, but this lineup has brought out a refreshing new beast!

This is pop?  I hardly think of pop music when I think of Megadeth.  Pop music is much more like the insipid One Direction, Beiber, Lady BlahBlah, etc.

Yeah, I think the new guys bring a lot to the table and that it's a GOOD THING!

I haven't bought any new Megadeth since The System Has Failed (which I like but don't regularly listen to).

With only so few dollars and there being so many albums to choose from each year, should I go for it on this one?

Just got my copy from Best Buy (meaning I scored the 2 bonus tracks). Since the first 3 songs I've heard already, and really like, I can't wait to play it for the first time tonight.
