Anybody getting in the Christmas Spirit around here?
I always start to around this time every year. Christmas is my favorite holiday!!!

I cranked up some TSO Friday while putting up the new tree I didn't expect to have to buy.

We started Nov 1! Been playing Christmas records since Halloween! Tree has been up for weeks! Woke up early and did Black Friday! I'm ready!!!!

Sorry, but unless it's the Theocracy Christmas songs, Halford's "Winter Songs", or Weird Al's "Christmas at Ground Zero/The Night Santa Went Crazy", i try to avoid Christmas music (back when i worked retail i grew a heavy dislike for it, especially when they played the same songs in a loop, including a really bad Simple Plan Christmas song).

Truth! They don't play Theocracy, Halford, most TSO, or other rock/metal Christmas music at malls or grocery stores though.
Also, I was a humbug when I worked retail. Now I don't and I have young kids so Christmas is awesome until they become teens and outgrow the toy phase.

I admit I am not 100% in the Christmas Spirit but I dont feel like Scrooge either. Ive been thinking lately on what i could donate to children's causes which is what id like to do starting this year. After what I have been going through this year this type of thing tugs hard on my heart strings. I love Christmas music, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Scott Weiland, Elmo & Patsy

I'm definitely my mother's son - that Christmas spirit hits after the Thanksgiving meal.
I know my wife and I don't look like we're enjoying black friday shopping...
...but its easy on the pocketbook. I wouldn't be able to get the volume/quality of gifts at a normal price.
I personally like having a live tree in my living room because of that awesome pine smell.
I came home from work to this, which my wife did before she had to go to work:
...which is awesome. My wife is the best. Of course, (and I don't have a picture for this) I woke up at 5am for work the next morning with the tree down because the oldest/heaviest Tom cat decided tomake sweet love to climb the tree.
Nothing like anchoring the round 2 decorated tree to the wall to keep the Christmas spirit alive. (and a horse sprayer for the cats when they try to claim the tree)

Thomas, what kind of cats do you have? That just sounded very funny! I imagine it looked quite funny too looking back ... though I'm sure you were upset at the time.

When I think of Christmas metal, I always think of Erlosung's "Christmas is Krieg" album.
Nice idea, Christmas black metal and all, but... its lacking musically in my opinion.

Derek is a member of CMR though I haven't seen him around for a little while. He's a really great guy with a huge heart for God. The lyrics are often straight from the Bible.

Got a nice wreath put up on my front door and got the Christmas tree up and shimmering!

We got into the Christmas spirit by making gingerbread houses last night with some friends. Ours involved a mobbing townspeople burning the house down with the Frankenstein monster on top of it hahahaha.

Having now listened to A Twisted Christmas, We Wish You a Metal Christmas and a Headbanging New Year, A Brutal Christmas, and A Very She & Him Christmas, I had only to download Wretched Graverobber's Christmas Spirit to be able to proclaim that I now officially have the Christmas spirit.

I got into it by stealing my children's personal ornaments from them and telling that my heart was 3 sizes too small when they asked why.
