Mad Max (Another band Im just finding)
Are they a Christian band?
They have a couple albums listed on Brent's list, and their Metal wiki says their later albums are Christian influenced lyrics.
Anyone own anything by these guys? (I swear I have asked this at least a dozen times in the past couple days )

Re: Mad Max (Another band Im just finding)
I love Mad Max! I have almost all of their albums.
But I shall warm you to be careful with their lyrics, as they aren't a christian band. In some of their albums you can find some christian content. Ypu can find some sexual content in the other albums, but nothing to offensive, I guess.

In order to help you and anyone else that might have interest in this band, find below an analysis album by album:
Released in the 80's (none of those have christian content in it):
S/t - I enjoy this album, even though the production is too raw, not to mention that the singer isn't good, the lyrics are poor and have some sexual content.
Rolling thunder - New singer (Michael Voss), better production, better guitar work and darker lyrics. Great album.
Stormchild - Better than the previous album, undoubtedly.
Night of passion - It is known as their best album. And it does make justice to that title at all. It has a great Joshua Perahia solo, plus their first Sweet cover. However, you will also find some sexual content in their lyrics.
2000's releases:
Night of White Rock - They play a more modern kind of rock, with lots of christian lyrics.
Here we are - Modern kind of sound, some christian lyrics, but not their best work at all.
In white - acoustic Ep of songs released in previous albums, plus a couple of christian known worship songs.
White sands - never listened to it
Welcome america - For die hards fans only. Too modern to be considered good. There are no christian lyrics on this one.
Another night of passion - A reference to an old album, to show that the band is playing hard rock again. Great album! But they definetely drop the christian lyrics in this album and in the following one
Interceptor - a couple of good songs and that is all. Not a bad album, I just missed the energy found in the previous album.

I saw on nolifetilmetal that White Sands compares pretty well to Stryper and Guardian.Thiago-Brazil wrote:Night of White Rock - They play a more modern kind of rock, with lots of christian lyrics.
I also see that they released a new album in 2015 but its all re-recordings of older material
i think this one is probably my best bet, thanks for the help!

I am going to buy White Sands on the next month.
Their new album calls Thunder, Storm and Passion and it is a rerecorded of their second, third and forth album. I heard some samples, and it looks like a great improvement. However, I'd rather purchasing brand new music.

Night of White Rock and White Sands are excellent Christian albums. Nothing else this band has done has interested me.

Re: Mad Max (Another band Im just finding)
I have just received the album White Sands. After two listenings, I can say that this album rocks. It has some great songs and it is very good overall. It has some Stryper similarities, as well.
My only complaint is about the guitars that are too loud. Or maybe the vocal isn't loud enough.
Anyway, White Sands isn't as good as their old material or Another Night of Passion, however it is as good as Night of White Rock and far better than Here We Are and Welcome America albums.

This has never been a complaint on any album I've ever listened to. Will give this one a shot.Thiago-Brazil wrote:I have just received the album White Sands. That is true. I wish it was the only problem on thousands of bands out there. If it was the only problem of the music, life would be much easier...Superjuice wrote:This has never been a complaint on any album I've ever listened to.
