This is from the band Dynasty.

What is your thoughts about it?

I really think they blew it. I wonder why didn't they keep it original?

I have never liked when singers put on that i have just been drinking bourbon and smoked a pack of smokes type vocal unless it comes across natural because it sounds forced. That would be my only little niggle on this cover otherwise pretty good sound etc. The singer thinks the mic stand is a guitar lol very eighties.

Not a fan of it vocally, but instrumentally it sounds pretty good.  What do you think they blew?

I loved Dynasty's first album! This sounds very bland and not at all like their first album!

Also, they ruined a great song here! I think they blew it too. Sounds very crude and low budget. Sorry, but this song is very special to me, as I grew up with it! To hear this cover ... makes we never wanna buy another Dynasty album again! I'm not trying to diss on the band or talk negative about anyone here ... just being honest as a Metal fan and a Saint fan.

Ravenwolf, that is just my impression. Why change such an awesome and special song to any christian metal fan?
I don't know what the dificult of keeping it original is...

The song has lost its identity, that is why I think they blew it.

Thanks for all the comments. We respect the opinion of all of you and we apologize if we offend you or the band with this release.

we never thought that fact.

Some members of the Saint heard and liked and this is also very good for us.
RavenWolf please be sure to enjoy the Dynasty for a song, everything we do is with much effort and difficulty, unfortunately we no longer have the support of a record label and downloads and piracy play against us.

Anyway, thanks for listening to music and have commented on it.
God bless!

Thiago... do you enjoy Maestah and Stauros? I'm amazed at their musicianship and I love Celso's vocals.

StarPilot...Celso is a friend of mine and one of the most important singer of brazilian Christian Metal (Maestah and Stauros). In the last year we duet "Toda dor" in a concert with Dynasty and Stauros. He's a great guy and servant of God.

StarPilot, I know these bands exists, but I have never heard of them. I know that Stauros got a little of attention by the public (in churches worship groups, for instance) and that's all.

Regarding the vocalist, a few years ago I attended to a concert of Destra and one of his bands was opening for them. It was something like a project called Seven Horizons.  If I am not mistaken, he has even sung a couple of Stauros tunes on that concert. I ended up buying their CD at the show to support the band (Seven Horizons), but for one reason or two, I didn't give more than two or three spins to that cd. I am not sure if this band have other released albums or if it is possible to find one of those cds on Internet.

Anyway, but Celso did a good job singing live and I had a lot of fun in that night.

Thiago. Maestah is a progressive power metal band. Check out their video for The Pilgrim. And their whole album rocks.

The vocals were a little rough, but overall this feels very much like the Saint version.  The original Saint version also sounded low budget (because it was).  This sounds like Dynasty was trying very hard to honor the original.  I don't see what the big deal was.

I kind of agree. Where it's lacking is that he goes a little off pitch in some parts. Around 1:20

The Honor smokes.  Power melodic metal with lots of great guitars and drums.  I'm getting this.

I sure didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Sorry if that came across rudely. I was just being critical as a logical music fanatic.

Personally I didn't really like the Saint cover.

However, I have the first album from Dynasty and have played it quite a few times. I really love that first album.

Thumbs up

I spin the Dynasty discs from time to time.  You guys are definitely some of the better power metal to come out of that region.  Many of the bands I have trouble understanding even though they record in English.  Not with you guys.  Dynasty is a solid band with a cool sound.

What do you think about we liberate 4shared links to download ours CD's?

As far as liberating 4shared to pass along your music, that is totally up to you.  Just know that when you do, the downloads or CD sales for the band will drop even more.  Even though I don't sell a lot of my Mission Of One stuff, my most recent album was doing okay.  I actually made money from a recording!  (LOL)  Then, the illegal download sites picked it up.  That's the first time I've seen that happen with my work.  After that, I've not sold a single disc or download.  Not one.  Illegal downloads and streaming radio have seriously stopped a lot of people from paying for their music.
