The other cover song thread got me thinking ...

Which songs do you WISH would be covered?

Just Christian, but you can wish a Christian band would cover a secular song.

For me...  I wish:

Bloodgood would cover Petra - This Means War!

Sacred Warrior would cover Degarmo and Key - Every Moment

and I wish that:

Theocracy would cover: Iron Maiden - Alexander the Great

I am bouncing around the idea of making a speed metal version of Yes's "Heart of the Sunrise".

We have a reworked/rewritten version of Judas Priest's "Painkiller" that I'd like to record one day.  No one's done anything like it really.

Galactic Cowboys - Not of this World (get it? lol! ) alone makes it worth getting.

To answer the original question, the only "covers" I want to see are Petra do Double Take right.  That remake album was terrible but they proved they can rock out and improve old songs with the live version of It Is Finished from Farewell.  Mostly covers and remakes scare me because they are rarely as good as the originals.

I have it. It's pretty good if you like 90's alternative/grunge.

I'd like to see Deliverance cover Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name". It's pretty much my favorite Maiden tune and Jimmy has a good voice for Dickinson.

According to Scott's website there is unreleased footage of Holy Soldier w/ Larry Farkas covering Led Zeppelin's "Rock N Roll".

I don't know what year it was recorded, but hearing Stephen Patrick sing Led Zeppelin would be killer.
