Music question in Vengeance Rising's no budget video

Post by Stender on Sun Sep 06, 2015 11:19 pm

So I have a question about some music featured in this film, for those who have seen it there is a scene towards the end where Roger Martinez is showcasing his office library. At one part where he is panning over the different titles, there is this really nice acoustic guitar music playing over the video. At first I thought it might have been Phil Keaggy but so far I have not been able to find the particular song playing in his catalog. So, my question is what is the name of the artist playing?

It looks like he is married to Zeena LaVey, renounced satanism for Tantic Buddhism.

I tried running the music through SoundHound and Google and got no matches. But by the sound of it and the voice at the end it sounds like it's been sped up, so the search algorithms in those apps won't find any matches. Was it originally like that, or was it a result of a garbled VHS tape transfer?

Winner winner, chicken dinner! I copied the audio and slowed it down. He mentions that he listens to this kind of music when he is doing Bible studies.

And the music is ...

Phil Keaggy "The Wind and the Wheat"!

Just read an interview with Jerry Gaskill of Kings X who said Phil Keaggy plays on a couple songs on Jerrys upcoming solo release (out Oct or Nov).
