Nice snippets. Looking forward to this release. I can see what Michael is talking about in terms of heaviness. Definitely a "thicker" sound on a number of the tracks. Can't wait to hear some whole songs. Will likely pre-order.

I enjoyed the first two songs. The rest is just ok...

I actually liked every snipet I heard. Great stuff, Heaven and The Calling are the two that caught my attention the most.
As for After Forever, well, I've never seen it redone by any of the bands I listen to. Not a big Ozzy era Sabbath fan though.

Sounds solid, but really hard for me to get a feel for an lp from sound bites, much like it is on movie previews. I too am weary of that one Sabbath cover, some bands ought to be a little more creative in choosing a new one, like "Lord of This World", "Into the Void", "Electric Funeral", "Ancient Warrior"...

Why does Michael have to be "more creative and pick a new one", CM?
He chose that song because he liked it and he wanted to record it. Pretty simple, actually.
I think Michael is probably one of the most creative artists out there.

Yeah I don't see a problem. It's not like they arbitrarily picked any Sabbath song either. It's all about the lyrics.

I would guess he picked it because it lends itself more to a christian worldview over many other Sabbath songs ?

Good grief! I never said he wasn't creative, just wished they would've picked some other Sabbath song than the one that has already been covered by a few Christian bands.

Most of those samples didnt even get to the chorus of the song (which is usually the most important part of any song IMO), so i cant really judge.
