If you could only keep one HB album, which would it be?
If you had to.......HB.
I've been meaning to post this for a while after seeing the other topics. I'm guessing that Frozen Inside will be most people's favorite. Pääkallonpaikka gets my vote though. Really fantastic album in spite of the fact that I can't understand any of the words except Hallelujah.
Next to that ..... it's tough call between Frozen Inside and The Jesus Metal Explosion (terrible title, awesome song/album). I'm kind of on the fence on that one.
It should be noted that Uskon Puolesta isn't a metal album, but I felt obliged to include it for the sake of completeness. It's also quite enjoyable (I like it a lot more than it's drastic remake, The Battle of God).

Pääkallonpaikka, for me, is their best, hands down. But I do like all their albums.

I too like all their albums. I have to go with Frozen Inside mostly because it's in English.

Yup. Frozen Inside because it's in English. I'd love to hear Pääkallonpaikka in English.

I voted for Pääkallonpaikka, though Frozen Inside is a close second (in large part because the English vocals ). I, too, am waiting for an English version. They posted the English "The Evil Song" on youtube when they had the different singer. I figured the English version of the album would be on the horizon, but that was almost two years ago.
Anyone download the "Mary" single around Christmas-time? It was nice to get new music from them, even if only one song.

I'm really glad to see some love for Pääkallonpaikka here, since it's one of my all-time favorite albums. As pop metal goes, it's up there with Delain's April Rain, and coming from me that's a high compliment. I was afraid it would just be me and Parched Earth voting for that album.
Speaking of Parched Earth, thanks for bringing up "Mary." I'd been meaning to mention that here. It's not metal, but it's a lovely song and I really think the lyrics are some of their best.
As for an English Pääkallonpaikka (am I the only one who has to copy-paste that title? ), I too would like an English version, but I would hope if it ever happens, they do little or no messing with the music. Just put in English vocals and I'll be happy. No need for a full remake.

I didn't bother with the non-English ones. I wouldn't listen to it if I can't understand the lyrics.

I can understand that. Other than Pääkallonpaikka, I don't listen to the non-English ones regularly (mostly Uskon Puolesta when I do), but I do enjoy them from time to time. I like the sound of Finnish. Probably started the first time I heard Tarja sing Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan.alldatndensum wrote:I didn't bother with the non-English ones.
