I liked Franklin Graham being #1, but then came Joel Osteen in 2nd, sooooo ...
But I was honestly (no pun intended) surprised to see Michael Sweet on there. Not because I don't think he's a leader, but because the clothes are tight, earrings dangling from the ears (okay I meant that one). Just surprised to see a rock/metal musician on there.
I do wonder what the criterion for getting on the list was, and who compiled it.

It really does seem like a bizarre list. The top makes enough sense, but it gets weird fast, at least to my eye. Of course clearly it's subjective.

Shouldn't the title have been the top 100 Leaders who are Christians?
On a more serious note I would have liked to have seen Al Mohler on the list.

Looks like all you have to do to get on there is be openly Christian, heck, Dave Mustaine or Alice Cooper could qualify for that list going by that criteria.

Two who I kept expecting to see/wondering where they would land were Mohler and Andy Stanley. I guess I'm still wondering! Especially with, for instance, Richard Land at 12? Mohler's minimum 90 spots behind Land? Mark Driscoll's at 36 but Stanley or Craig Groeschel (sp?) can't crack the top 100? I haven't seen Bill McCartney's name in a loooong time, he's at 70? These are just a couple of the names/places that I'd question. . . who I know of! As opposed to, for instance, Raymond Arroyo at 77. Clearly he's somebody to be on the list, but of his listed credentials, not only do I not know his name, I don't know his tv show. In fact, not only do I not know his tv show, I've never even heard of the NETWORK! [looked it up, I guess it's Catholic]
Anyway, just a few random thoughts out of the 100.

That list is based purely on popularity and name recognition and nothing else. There are many that deserve to be on that list, but really its not based on any real substance.

You know a secular source put that list together when you have a Mormon on it.

I thought about putting it in the "Genral Talk" section (and a Mod can place it there if they want), but the main topic is about a Christian who is a musician (see what I did there )
Re: #39 on the Top 100 Christian Leaders in America
It should be called "The Top 100 Leaders in American Who Claim To Be Christian". There are a number of people on that list who are, in my opinion, false teachers - starting at #2.

Re: #39 on the Top 100 Christian Leaders in America
Wouldn't Michael Sweet need to consider himself to be a " Christian " metal artist first, to be considered a " Christian " leader ?
