Triuwint
I recently got these German fellow's album and have not been able to stop listening to it. Triuwint play very high quality melodic black metal. Sans one song, all their lyrics are in German (which I think is really cool).

Wow.....pretty good.
Don't matter about the language...cuz I can't understand what the english bands of this genre are saying either.

Ha, very true.
BTW I love your avatar. Dying Vine was my first Christian heavy metal album and it is wonderful, though I could never make out much of what Joel was saying (which is too bad because Aletheian's lyrics are fantastic).

Not bad. Metal sounds awesome in German (and Finnish and Icelandic and...). I took it in school for a few years but I'm not good enough to understand it in music. I can understand-ish some of the lyrics reading though.
Side note: I looked up Aletheian again. Really good stuff; I don't think I fully appreciated it a year or two ago.

Didn't know about that band - interesting!
Even for me as a native speaker it is very hard to understand more than fragments of the lyrics.

Yeah, I just got into them. Pretty good technical death metal.

Very good Kerrick. Was it ever confirmed weather or not this is a Christian band?

Re: Triuwint
Judging from the lyrics from the one song in English and the fact that their band photo includes a guy wearing a Horde shirt... I think it's a safe bet.
Staring into the night
remembering all those past days,
hours far away,
and a child screams at the... light.
This old innocence in me,
Never loved and never free,
but it dies when no one sees,
and rises in this what you call me.
Have I ever lost my pride,
did I ever say "I give up!"
so I did all I could,
what I really said I would!
Can you see, rising fires in the night.
Can you see, raging flames of sacred light.
I see pictures in my eyes,
from my murderers in past,
I hear silent, silent screams,
from a "me" that grew too fast.
Reborn.
Now I became the shining flame,
in a fire sea of grace.
Now I hear the call of truth,
Like a star I rise in fire,
rise,
rise,
rise in fire.
Cause I never lost my fight,
I´m a Phoenix of the light.
So fly with me through time,
nearby firebirds we`ll reign.
Staring into the night
remembering all those past days,
hours far away,
and a child screams at the... light.

Right on! I was reading some of their other lyrics (by way of Google Translator haha) and they definitely are Christian.

Re: Triuwint
They are NOT a Christian band. But at least their singer is Christian - hence the Christian lyrics.
Which is pretty remarkable, cause normally people tend NOT to write (explicitly) Christian influenced lyrics when playing with nonbelievers in a band.

If those lyrics that were posted were representative of what the band writes about, I don't see secular people having a issue with them. They're every vague and I would say even " gnostic " and mysterious in the approach. I can see a non believer getting out those of lyrics whatever they wanted.

Interesting. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find this info? Really great band regardless!
I suppose this would throw a wrench in the age-old argument of what constitutes a "Christian band."

There are some clearer phrases in other songs.
Todesmarsch
"Nonetheless you are God
and help me out of my need
and call me into your word
which re-echos in my soul"

Re: Triuwint
This is from: This should help clear some up along with what the band sent me:
Krieg Der Luge
Break off a silence!
Call upon the stars song!
Spielet pathetic songs herdann, throughout your life!
It's war, it is victory.
It's war, it is victory.
More than fighting spirit, reputation undermined the swords hands,
greater than your world, it is what really matters.
Looks up, you brazen men,
higher, the steel fist,
do not want to hate longer you leave!
Not aimless,
sounds the call,
not meaningless,
then shall sound,
lurid tunes,
in which we have already collected.
Forward to the horizon,
over the trenches and positions,
before us the greatest time,
with us the sparkle of genuine freedom,
fiery eyes,
who do not believe you.
It's war, it is victory.
It's war, it is victory.
Moreover, as a spiritual struggles, reputation undermined the swords hands,
greater than your world, it is what really matters.
Ride you steel Youth,
storms is bad about you,
kiss the blazing life, the here and the now.
Marched against everything that has imprisoned,
which entitled us: A life that is so much better,
than what you see now, because other croak, we would have to do without.
Herdann riding with us in this fight,
not against people, but against the plague in this world,
the Satan represents us as the only truth,
Lie lie lie lie,
much reason to despair there is not ,.
War, war, war of lies,
as sure as I'm standing here,
I proclaim Jesus' victory.
Now here is what the band sent me:
Hey, I write the Lyrics, and yes I am a christian, and most of the Band believe in Jesus, but maybe you have heard from the debate about the label "christian Band" within the christian Metal szene. It´s not easy to label us this way as a "christian Band" because we feel a "belonging" to the whole extreme Metal Szene, not just the christian Metal section.
But yes some Lyrics are christian, and all of them written from a believer, and as long as I write them, there will be no antichristian texts in our Songs for example.
It is maybe well concluded this way:
We come together as Metalheads, trying to express ourself in our favourit Music, but the lyrics are written from someone who would lie, if he tries to express himself without referring to his faith.
Is this answer ok?

I feel like Markus here just ended the "what is a Christian band" debate. Thanks for sharing that Larry. Responses like that make me particularly stoked to support bands such as Triuwint.
