Meshiaak

Post by metaldude on Mon Mar 23, 2015 12:05 pm

Being a Teramaze fan for quite some time now, I've also become a fan of Dean Wells. When I heard he had another project, Meshiaak, I was naturally curious. I had no idea they would sound this good. Check it out.

This is really good. Kind of reminds me of Machinehead. Guess I should look up Teramaze now too...

Dean is a BEAST of a guitarist.  Always has been......

Teramaze is more melodic. Their heaviest album would be Anhedonia. It's a great album.

Teramaze,  4arm, Testament,  and Slayer... a pretty good pool of talent in this band.

They made that video before they had a full lineup.  They're in the studio now. Can't wait to hear the full album.

Seems like this is kind of a Christian project, since the name means Messiah and Tomb says they're playing together because he and Wells share the "same faith and beliefs."

I'm resurrecting this thread because, after more than a year, there is finally a release date and video for the debut Meshiaak album. August 19 can't get here soon enough.

No one else liking this? Maybe it's just me, but I'm chomping at the bit for this one.

I woke up at 2 o'clock this morning and couldn't get back to sleep thinking about this album waiting for me. I know, it sounds a little crazy, but after all,  I've been waiting for over a year for this.

Let me say, there is absolutely no disappointment here. Alliance of Thieves is a metal meltdown from beginning to end. It's well worth the wait, if you ask me. I predict a sore neck by the end of the day.   Metal 1 Metal 1 Metal 1
