Pylon

Post by Noahsfaith on Wed Jan 14, 2015 5:19 pm

Pylon. The harrowing of Hell.
Pylon Doom
Pylon. The armoury of God
Pylon. Their newest I'm not going to try to spell it.

I am loving this band, mostly doom (the genre), The harrowing of Hell, especially reminds me of the little black sabbath, I know.

Hey, guys! I'm new here, but I've been reading for a while and I have found a few bands from this forum that I hadn't heard of before. It's great to find others who enjoy Christian rock/metal!

My recent pickups include:

THE BRAVE - Battle Cries
JOSHUA - Intense Defense
JOSHUA - Resurrection
REGIME - Straight Through Your Heart
TRYTAN - Celestial Messenger
TRYTAN - Sylentiger

Thanks again to everyone who makes this a great forum to browse and who shares their favorites with the rest of us!

That's a good album.  Cool  I used to be a big SG fan.  Now I regret getting rid of their CDs...

Keep in mind, I am biased toward Trouble. That said, jump on it. The heavy stuff is heavy, the doom is doomy, and the riffs are catchy. I've only been through two or three times, but i really like it.

Post by Kerrick on Wed Feb 18, 2015 2:23 pm

Ugh I'm frustrated...  I ordered Far Beyond - Songs Of Hope And Sorrow on eBay from Australia and it just came in yesterday.  Fantastic music!  However, I paid the much steeper price because I wanted the original/official CD, not the cheap Amazon.com version.  Even though the eBay listing said the manufacturer was the band... it's the cheap Amazon CD with no liner notes or anything.  LAME!  I could've paid 1/3 the price for that directly from Amazon, got the digital files immediately, and the CD much sooner!  Or buy the digital files directly from the band via their Bandcamp (which is what I would've done had I know the eBay listing was that crummy Amazon CD)!  Grr...  Anyways, just had to vent.  Good music though.

Probably.  I just sent the seller an email and will see what they do about it.  If they blow me off, then I probably will because that's pretty lame.  Nowhere on the posting did it even hint at not being original.  Then again, it could be an honest mistake on their part so for now I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I had the same thing happen with Brave Saint Saturn's Anti-Meridian just two days ago. I was able to reuse the packing material and write RETURN TO SENDER. The seller agreed to refund it-they're from the UK.

Interesting.  The seller for this is in the UK too.  And they suggested I do exactly that...  Maybe the same one, Langton?

I've been looking for this album for a while:

I finally came across a vendor on ebay that had it listed and nobody entered any bids. Lucky for me I bought it for only $9.41USD shipping included. I had this on cassette years ago and from a recall it is a good album. I think it is slightly better than 2nd Avenue.
