I didn't get much response on my last offerings lol Sad but I'm going to give it another go. I just completed a new instrumental song. If you have the time I'd love to hear what you think or I'd love for you just to take a listen Smile

Sounds pretty cool. I didn't hear much of a bass presence, and the guitars felt a bit harsh, but otherwise I liked it. Keep it up. Smile

What did you use to program the drums with ?

The melody played by the guitar (where the vocals should be) has a nice lil hook to it. It lost it's flow at the bridge somewhat, but that is often a difficult transition with instrumentals.

I'd like to hear ya toss some ideas off of other musicians and actually record as a band with vocals.

thanks for posting the clip

Thanks for listening dude. I know what you saying about the overall sound. I agree that a warmer and bassier presence would be most ideal. I need to get better at production and perhaps my equipment is lacking. I was plugging straight into my multi track as opposed to using a mic which tends to warm everything up and takes some of the thin bite away from the guitars.

My multi track recorder (Zoom HD-16) has a built in drum machine. Instrumentals are tough because vocals can carry a melody much more interestingly than a guitar. It's also hard to keep the excitement of the song throughout. I just started working with another guitar player this last week so it's a start. I'll post we come up with as soon as we get something down.
