Can anyone recommend EQ settings, and/or free plugins, to get a good '80s guitar tone (in the vein of Bloodgood and Saint tones)? I'm not much of a guitarist, so I need some help with stuff like this. Thanks!

in my experience most of the guitar amps/presets/tones kinda suck...

but my favorite amp to use for distortion is the "Big hair metal" amp, and turn the overdrive pedal on.

Just start tweaking settings until the sound you hear in your head is matched up with what you are hearing with your ears....

Whatever you do, don't make a smiley face with your graphic eq.....you'll sound awesome by yourself but will get totally lost in a mix with the rest of the instruments.
