Grave Robber question

Post by mikeinfla on Wed Feb 15, 2012 12:07 pm

I normally don't like this kind of music but I was listening to the samples on CDBaby and this band is VERY cool. I'm more of an 80's Melodic Rock guy but this stuff is infectious.

Question: What's the Difference in Be Afraid + 1 and Be Afraid Collectors? Is one better than the other? Is the mastering different? The download mp3 versions are only 4.99 and 5.99 but before buying I wanted to know which one was better or if they are any different other than the Nazareth cover.

Also, "Inner Sanctum" is only 3.99 as a download!

Thanks,

Mike In Florida

I'm not usually a fan of this stuff at all, but like you, I found it rather infectious as well! "Inner Sanctum" is great, can't speak to much about the rest, they also put on one fantastic live show!

Oh, the new one "You're All Gonna Die" is also very good! cheers

"Be Afraid" collector's would be the definitive version due to the inclusion of the band's rendition of Nazareth's take on the classic ballad "Love Hurts" which was previously only available on the 7" release of the same name (which is HIGHLY recommend if you like vinyl at all due to the release having what I feel is the superior version of the song "Burn Witch, Burn").

OK, thanks. One cool sounding band. You can understand (for the most part) what they are singing and that's a big plus for me. I am NOT a fan of SlipKnot, Gwar or anything remotely like that so I am surprised I like the songs samples I have heard at CDBaby.

OK, just got "Be Afraid" Collectors from CDBaby. Took about 30 seconds to download and I burned it to CD. This is pretty cool stuff! May download the other next week!

In addition to them being an awesome band, the guys in Grave Robber are absolutely legit! I love those guys and am good friends with them. In terms of what they're all about... doesn't get much more real than them!

Does anyone know where I can find their lyrics online? I only have Inner Sanctum on disk, and even then the print in the booklet is so small it's impossable to read.

Is Grave Robber a Christian band? A buddy told me they weren't and I never had a chance to find out...

Yes they are. Like I said earlier, they are one of the most legitimately Christian bands out there today. AWESOME ministry!

I, too, would like lyrics. The download version only contains the front cover art and nothing else. If anyone has lyrics to be afraid, please let me know.

I'd suggest checking with the band on the FB page.

Absolutely. Inner Sanctum is only 3.99 as a download on CDBaby. That's my next purchase!

Grave Robber is very much a Christian ministry oriented band. Wretched is one of the most legit brothers in Christ that I know.

Wow, I don't know why I avoided this band for so long... probably the stage act. I used to be a huge GWAR fan in my teens. I dig these guys!

OK, got Inner Sanctum and it's even better than Be Afraid. it was the download version tho and omits track 12 (at least is isn't in my files). But not a bad download for only $3.99. No album art other than the front cover and the notes say it was mastered by Cliffy.

Can't complain about no album art tho for the price I paid!

Was looking at the track listing for "Exhumed" is that a best of?
