Orphan Project

I hope these guys make a new album. I know it was probably just a "project", but their second CD has been one of my favorites ever since I first heard it....

"Spooning Out the Sea" is a fantastic CD. I played that thing so much...

I not much of a prog rock/metal fan but I thought "Spooning Out the Sea" was absolutely fantastic. It still gets regular play in my house.

Like others, I LOVE "Spooning Out the Sea." Haven't checked out the other discs, but that one is excellent. I'll probably check them out eventually. I'd certainly be interested if they released another album. Twisted Evil

I love these guys too! I swear I am not trying to spam her but if you have not got the new reissue they just put out of 'Orphan Found' their debut CD you should! It has a killer bonus track Another Brick in the Wall from Pink Floyd and the band only made a printed a couple hundred! This is their debut and its pretty killer too...

I like their debut cd more..has a great story and the first track is just huge!! A heavier track - even reminds me of the emotion i feel when hearing Sacred Warrior at times.....though there are some quite light moments on the 1st cd the story is just so powerful - whether one is an oprhan or has ever felt like one....

I enjoy the 2nd cd too - just not quite as much as the first cd...

I also really like their version of 'Another Brick in the Wall'. Hope they are soon finished with completely spooning out of sea and move on to the next project. 'Vacuuming out the Atmosphere'? LOL

I thought Spooning out the Sea was brilliant... One of the best Christian Metal discs made period... Top 100 fer sure....

I know that their guitar player passed away about a year ago so. I'm not sure what their agenda and time frame is for new material....

I played "Spooning...." quite a bit when I first got it but have gotten a bit tired of it. Of course, I am not much of a prog fan.

Interesting as I didnt find it 'that much prog' if that makes sense... Kinda like Kansas as opposed to Dream Theater. A stronger emphasis on tuneage.... than riffage....

To each their own eh?

It just didn't have staying power with me. I have never really been one to fit the mold musically here at the CMR. I like the album, but I can't say that I love the album.
