Our thread about obscure hair/glam was pretty fun, let's branch out to other genres, notably thrash. Of course, we all know about the big 4 of Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer, as well as the second tier with stuff like Exodus, Testament, Overkill, and Deliverance (among others), as well as some of the thrash metal revival acts like Toxic Holocaust, Warbringer, Havok, etc. But then you have the bands that fell through the cracks, like Gothic Slam:

Indestructible Noise Command or INC. is really solid. Tons of groove and intense riffage.

For modern bands I suggest Dust Bolt, and Woslom. Those guys tear it up. They are a bit more unknown compared to Havok and Warbringer. Hatchet is really sick too.

The new album is really good IMO. The older albums are a little meh. The latest one slows it down a little and has more groove in there.

I know of so many obscure thrash bands that we could be here for months on end and still not exhaust them all.

I am still new here and am prohibited from posting links for 7 days, so I'll circle back and post some when I can.

You'd be surprised.  Most of the newer breed of metal heads don't have a clue about them (or him since it's basically a one-man show).  I used to post on a major message board that had a thread devoted to metal and asked them to rank their favorite Annihilator albums... they knew nothing about them/him, but they knew all about Testament, the big 4, and neo-thrash.  I'm  like 'yeah, Jeff Waters is probably the overall best thrash guitarist of all time.  You might want to check out Alice...'

Thanks!  I would not have figured that out.

This is some good stuff that few know about.   It is an early band of Klayton (Circle Of Dust, Brainchild, Argyle Park, Klank, Celldweller, etc.).  He is formerly known as Scott Albert, that is how I knew him when he lived in NY.

Wish they would remaster and release this officially.  Not sure that will ever happen though.

I don't know of any compilation they have been on.  Since this was a demo and never officially released, the chances of it ending up on an official record label-released comp would be a lot lower.

Yeah dude, the "Black Feather Shake" by Panic was really cool. It had some great groove in there. I've actually seen/heard a good amount of those bands already. (Not all of them though, but a good chunk of em)
I love Artillery too. B.A.C.K. is my fav by them.

Some of them are great but at least half of those bands, I would not consider "obscure."   Especially Destruction, Nuclear Assault, Demolition Hammer, Artillery....maybe we need a working definition of what is truly considered "obscure."

Here's a band I consider worthy of being called obscure.
They were on a small label, Wild Rags Records, back when it existed.
They rarely if ever got talked about in the fanzines.
I have a few others that fit this bill too, but I'll start here.
But I'm interested in hearing about others I don't know about.

Intruder was a good band, sort of Anthrax like instead of the bay area sound. Metal Blade never really pushed them which is too bad.
