Post by Hardcore Christian on Thu May 24, 2018 5:10 pm

So mainly just because of that cover I discovered Iced Earth...............

How are they lyrically? And what is the best album to start with?

The best music is Night of the Stormrider but the lyrics are definitely not Christian friendly.

Their album The Glorious Burden is the only album I've heard and clean, lyrically.  I got it when I had fairly recently discovered metal and really loved it a lot.  Then I researched their other stuff and yeah, as Temple said, not so Christian friendly.

The Dark Saga is really good musically. It's my favorite by them, and lyrically it's based of the comic book character Spawn

The two best Iced Earth albums are the ones Richard Christy drums on: The Glorious Burden and Horror Show.

I really enjoy Incorruptible and most of the lyrics seem fantasy driven with some historical stuff on a couple songs.
