I don't think it's their best (in my opinion) but I do think it's the best of their later era stuff.

I'll have to give this one a listen. After not being able to stomach the 3 or 4 laughably bad albums they made after Blood World, I gave up on them. The album cover on this one was so silly I assumed it was more of the same cartoon metal and never gave it a shot.

I completely disagree about about the 3 or 4 bad albums they put out after Bloodworld. Primitive and Envision (especially)are great releases. The next 3 albums I like or really like but don't love them but once Relentless was released they were back on track. That is my opinion on them. Really loved your comment about 'cartoon metal' though, will remember that one!!!

It's mostly Steve's vocals that just got silly on all those albums. Musically they're okay or even good (as on some of the tracks you guys posted), but it's like a goofy off-key barbarian "singing." Totally ruins it for me.
