Hurricane Irma
So anybody in the path of this? I used to live in South Florida, so I have a lot of family and friends there. Most of them hunkered down. As of now, it looks like it might be taking I-75 and heading straight up here to the Atlanta area. I also have a brother that just got hit with Harvey in TX. Thankfully he didn't get any fallout.
Re: Hurricane Irma
Currently it looks like it is going straight up FL, losing intensity slightly about half way up. Then losing much more strength on the path to TN.
Glad I am not in the Keys any longer. That was a couple years ago.

I live in New York, but I have some relatives down in Florida. Hope they all got out. Pray for those in the path of Irma, and those who have already been hit by it. This is one beast of a storm, even by hurricane standards.
I had some money that I was going to donate to the Harvey relief efforts, but I think I'll keep some of it for the aftermath of Irma as well. And now we have category 4 Jose that looks like it could strike the islands Irma has already hit. This is shaping up to be a nasty hurricane season.

Riding it out here but looks like it will just miss us. We will have rain and wind but not full effect.

We'll get some rain and wind from it here in Tennessee, but the eastern part of the state is supposed to get the worst of it.

Moving closer in our direction but plans are to ride it out for now. Will be keeping a close eye on this one. It's a beast.

Re: Hurricane Irma
Turned out to be all hype. I woke up at 2am this morning and it was windy, no rain. Gusts around 20-30 mph. It started raining around 5am and was never that bad. It moved out around lunch time. I did see a tree down on the way to work. We dodged a bullet that's for sure.New Creation wrote:MikeInFla wrote:Moving closer in our direction but plans are to ride it out for now.
