Working with a different drummer on next album!!! Empty Working with a different drummer on next album!!!

I have been working on a new Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band which is my blues rock project after retiring Mission Of One.  The first one has done well seeing that I am unsigned and have no band to go out and do shows.  Hopefully that will change!

Typically,  I get my brother to do most of the drums, but I had an offer from someone else.  Who is this "mystery drummer"?  Well, watch the video below and find out!

I need to investigate if we can add a like button or some such thing here.

This 2nd album will be a lot more diverse.  There will be some classic hard rock style songs, lots of blues rock, an 80s hair metal ballad, and even an acapella song in the vein of some 50s do-wah or barbershop quartet.  This has probably been the most fun record I have ever done as I just didn't care about musical direction.

I am doing all the vocals, guitars, and bass.  I wrote 10 of the songs by myself, did a ZZ Top parody, and co-wrote a song with Fundy.  Kelly is the only other musician on the project.

Now, to get started mixing this.  I played around with Kelly's favorite track today called "Bootlegger's Prayer".  I've got it sounding pretty good, but I do need to pull the bass and bass drum back just a tiny bit.  Other than that, she's sounding great.

I also mixed the acapella track "Yes, I Know" today.  I am willing to call it done.  If the EQ and volume of each voice on an acapella track is right, then you need to leave it alone.  So, I am going to leave it alone.

Here are the song titles, but not necessary in this order:

Yes, I Know
Bootlegger's Prayer
(Burning) Bush
Man Overboard
Where the Worm Dieth Not
I Love You More Than Meatloaf
Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick
Legs
Completely Flexible
Lord, How I Love The Way She Walks
Free

....and there is one more that the title just ins't coming right now.  Don't ya' hate getting old and forgetful?

Cool!

There's a programme on UK TV called "As Yet Untitled", that always makes me laugh.

I have one song mixed already and have a 2nd one close.  Having recorded with acoustic drums makes the new album sound so much bigger.  I can't wait to get this done so everyone can hear it.
