WHITERAY ~ Retroactive Records
In 2018 Retroactive Records are releasing an album by a band I've never heard of until now!!! They should have been signed up back in the day, they sound awesome but instead changed name and style and became 'Killed By Cain' - YUCK!!!
Check this track out here.....

Yeah, I'm not really into that "Killed by Cain" release, but I've listened to a couple of those Whiteray songs on youtube and they sound kind of promising. I'd heard of them before, but had no clue they were the same band.

I always liked the Killed By Cain album, but I did feel like that having Dale Thompson produce it was probably not the best choice. It came off as a Bride clone which is what it somewhat was when the album was done. This does sound like some early Bride, but the songwriting seems more mature to me.

that does sound good, and yes, it does sound like early Bride too! Definitely one to put on my 'wish list'!

Production sounds really good as it was produced nearly 30 years ago. Another band from back in the day that should have been signed up.

Lately I feel like they are really starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel with some of these releases.

I'm of the opposite opinion. I love stuff I've never heard of like this, or stuff never before released on CD and impossible to find anyway like Xalt seeing the light of day.
The reissues of reissues (Rez - Colours) I will pass on.

Here's another I found, not sure if they are Christian or not but it might be from the same compilation.
And I don't care for the demo quality of them, even cleaned up they are still just demos. These days I find demo type stuff hard to listen to more than a couple of times then I put them away forever (Crossforce for one).

I have a bootleg copy of this from Retrospect Records. They are a Christian band and the music/sound quality is pretty good!

I have to agree. It is some of this hard to find stuff that I most would want. I HAVE most of the major label classics that I want. I even have the ability to clean and remaster the ones I want to do so with, so I am not rebuying a lot reissues of albums I already have. It is the ultra rare stuff, even if it is demos, that I am more apt to buy.
What I don't like most of the time is reissuing an album with "bonus tracks" with those new songs being extremely poor quality live tracks. Many times you get the same songs as what is on the album and they sound like dirt even cleaned. I'd rather just have the album cleaned up.

This is great news! I bid on their demos that were on eBay a few months back but they went into the hundreds of dollars. I'd much rather get them on CD, if that's what they're reissuing. Awesome.
