Very cool!  I was just listening to "Realms Of Time" a few weeks ago and wondered if the band was going to release another album.

Is Diviner a Christian band?

I wondered too, the lyrics are pretty generic from what I can see.

No

I've always thought of them as a sort of inbetween band.  The vocalist joined the Greek Orthodox Clergy years ago, so that probably explains why the lyrics tend to focus on religious type themes.

I don't think so. I read an interview with the vocalist where he was really chickening out when asked a direct question about the foundation of the lyrics. Nothing says 'metal' like cowardice. There was also this song on their sophomore album where the lyrics were something about "praise my gods", but you could argue that that was 'in character'.
But yeah, all in all I'd put them in the secular category.

I'm cautiously excited. I read that the singer is the only member left, so I wonder how much it's going to change the sound.

I messaged them in 2020 and they told me they are all Orthodox Christians. That doesn't mean they have to write about Christian topics, but they aren't going to write against the faith either. I'd say Christian-friendly.

Im loving it, everything you have come to expect from them, great vocals, catchy guitars.

Listening now. It rules. I love that their riffs actually have some heft to them. Very meaty trad/heavy Metal, but melodic and memorable. Yiannis's vocals sound great and match the music. No wimpy stuff here.

This could wind up near the top of my AotY list. So good.
