Aww yeah! My copy just shipped and should be due in a week as well. That's pretty cool that it got a mention on generally woke Bandcamp.

Re: Sorrowstorm - Triune Eminence
Mine came on Monday and I've had some time to listen to it. The musicianship is fantastic and the lyrics are amazing, both as expected. This album is a beast musically, with a lot more going on. There are guitar solos, piano interludes, keyboards, and epic choruses all adding to the diversity of the album. The production, while fine, isn't quite as good as the Epoch of Exile, which had a great, raw, clear sound to it. I'm not sure on the songs yet. The complexity of arrangements will take a bit to absorb. That said, Man of Woes, the closing track, knocks it out of the park for me. Fantastic stuff.
Unfortunately, the one thing that really stuck out on initial listens were the vocals. I was surprised by but also disappointed in the clean vocals. I enjoy some of the more anthemic choruses (there was a bit of this on the Ep but a lot more here) yet they aren't always performed as well as I'd hope. At times they are flat or a little off time from one another. Similarly, the solo clean vocals can also sound out of place (his tone) and they are not always well performed. I appreciate adding to the diversity of the album through their use but at this point it doesn't seem to work 100% for me. There are tracks where it's all good. On others I feel like they take the quality down. Not a deal breaker and maybe I'll grow to love them but right now I'm working through them more than enjoying them.
Curious what you all will think of this. I think it will be a stellar release in the end, especially if my view of the vocals changes and the songs start clicking.

My copy arrived today - early! The CD has a more zoomed out cover compared to the digital on Bandcamp, and it looks pretty cool.

Black metal isn’t really my thing, but I’m spinning this now and am enjoying it. (I do agree with FF that the clean vocals are a little hit and miss). And the lyrics I’ve seen are AWESOME.

^Right on! I expect top-notch lyrics from Felipe; he's a very sharp fella and one of the most theologically grounded musicians in the scene IMO.

I want to like this but most BM is kind of boring to me. I do like some blackened dm and thrash.

Re: Sorrowstorm - Triune Eminence
After my first listen, I can say that this is not AOTY for me but it is a good album. The riffs are top notch throughout. My only real complaint is the vocals. I actually don't mind the clean vocals, most of the time (though they are pretty bad in Logos Ascending). It's the black metal shrieks that don't sound right. Felipe layers them on top of his death metal growls and it just creates a weird sound that totally sucks out all the power. His DM growls are great on their own, and I wish he would have just switched back and forth between the styles without layering them on top of each other. Overall I think it's really good music and it's pretty impressive that just one man created this on his own (with some guest appearances from Derek Corzine).
One other thing I will add is that I prefer this album's production quality compared to Epoch of Exile. Triune Eminence has a slightly muddier sound to it, which I think works better for black metal.

^That's a pretty fair review; I'd tend to agree. The instrumentation is excellent though the vocals are a bit of an odd choice. Felipe can do a very broad range of extreme vocals - all very well - but these aren't quite my cup of tea. I've only listened to it once through so they very well may click with me later. I dig the more melodic and epic approach this album has though. I'm yet to read the lyrics but I have high expectations for those as I mentioned above!

Gave this another listen today. I love the varying aesthetics. Some of the riffs are rather light and floaty, and then it will later change to something more aggressive. Some riffs were more technical and gave off Welterwerk-era Drottnar vibes. Other pieces reminded me of early Kekal. I really like what Felipe put together and hope he keeps making more.

I've listened to this 3 or 4 times in the past week. Production, song-writing, musicianship is great. I'm still not really into black metal, so it doesn't catch my imagination, but I would easily listen to this while I'm working around on the house or exercising.

I was cranking it loudly whilst driving and gotta say, it sounds better at high volumes.
