I have been Alestorm's primary proponent on CMR for YEARS, although I honestly find the last Gloryhammer disc to be the absolute pinnacle of what Christopher Bowes has put out to date.  The dude is absolutely brilliant.
So you're a rubber duck fan, too?

Their latest album I got from my wife for being married to her for one year, so we have a history with Alestorm. I also got the latest Gloryhammer when shopping with her in Berlin the day after it came out. She's not too big on metal as she's more of a classical music snob, but she's on board (see what I did there?) with bands like Alestorm and Gloryhammer.

Aye.

Wheel bearing for a MkV Jetta. Hopefully the faulty one doesn't disintegrate before I get a chance to install the new one.

A flashlight and mount for my [home defense] rifle.  Cool You can spend a TON of money on that stuff but I am going the relatively cheap route.  I still had to get a special mount to adapt to the rifle since it doesn't have any mounting rails on the front like many AR-15s do.

Two flower metal albums. One is for my brother, for some reason he's crazy about that band.

I just purchased 3 albums, (2 on cd, 1 download): the download was Conqueror by the band Solomon and the 2 cd's were Deliver Us From Evil by Kryst The Conqueror and Voices Of The Winds by Usynlig Tumult. I also found a couple free downloads for Join The Dead, (1 song), and Sword Of Judgement. Both good thrash bands, though I think Sword Of Judgement broke up.

My daughter's wedding over the last few months.

We have been able to buy so many of the supplies like bridesmaid's dresses, decorations, and so much more online. Not only have we used Amazon, but also lots of independent sites. Many of them are Chinese vendors/manufacturers but they set up American looking websites. They ship fast straight from China and the quality is good. We were getting very nice bridesmaid dresses for under $30 each! One of them didn't fit the girl, so instead of worrying about returns all the way to China, I just bought the next size up and had it shipped. Saved on stress and it wasn't that much more money. The matron of honor (my wife) even got her very fancy dress on Ebay for about $100. It had been worn once.

Shopping online and using things like fake flowers, we've been able to keep this wedding under $3,000 which is very exciting. The biggest costs are the church rent, the cake, and the alterations, those 3 together were $1,000.

Oh man, wedding stuff is EXPENSIVE.  Kudos to you for doing it in a financially responsible way.  As you know, NOT spending a bazillion dollars on a wedding is very difficult and against the grain of the whole market.  You have to search far and wide for reasonably priced goods and the price for anything labeled "wedding" is automatically doubled.  It's quite disgusting how much people spend on weddings and so unnecessary.  We went on the ultra-cheap and it was a beautiful ceremony.  I'm glad to see others not giving in to the arbitrarily expensive nonsense that is so prevalent...

A magazine pouch that will fit on my rifle's butt-stock (coyote tan color) and hold two 10-round mags.

It'll be a while before it arrives, but I am looking forward to having it.  My Mini 14 is currently our primary home defense tool and it'll be good to have more than 10 rounds if worse comes to worst.  (Unfortunately, in CA the maximum capacity of magazines is 10.)

Parts for a couple of new custom cigar box guitars for myself.  I am building them so that they will be able to sound like both a bass and guitar at the same time.  Couple these with a BeatBuddy drum maching you control with your feet, and 2018 could be the year that ol' alldat quits wishing he had a band and actually becomes a one-man show.  It will take a lot of rehearsing, but it can be done.
